the sky came pouring down,
i could hear the sound,
the sound of blue.
i laid down,
closed my eye..
i imagined the raindrops 're kissing my face,
and
i was dreaming..
i dreamed
because i wanted to run,
run away from the blue..

the sky came pouring down,
i could touch the emptiness,
the emptiness of my heart.
i curled up,
buried myself from the cold..
i pretended ignorance of the darkness in the room..
and
i was waiting..
i waited for the light..
which could stream in through the window,
and shine on my heart..
because i couldn't stand..
couldn't stand without you..

the sky
came pouring down again..
i couldn't move
because i was exhausted
i let my tear drops fall with the rain.
i wonder why..
you were gone..
